  1. My thoughts about the article is that China seems to be like our nation in a way. They are relying on credit cards more and saving less, which is not a smart thing to do, especially if you are starting at a younger age. These actions will cause trouble in the future. The young Chinese people are thinking about today and not worrying about tomorrow, which is a new kind of thinking for them considering they used to be heavy savers. These irresponisble actions will hurt them in the end.

  2. The article opened my eyes to what I thought I knew about China. They have became more like our nation in the recent years. Their credit card status rose from 18 million to 180 million is just a matter of years. Their financial debt is increasing as they start to show trends like ours. The newest generations don't save any money nearly as much as the previous generations.
Their economic status is becoming more like ours.

  3. More people in china like American’s are spending money by the use of a credit card instead of saving for what they think they need to spend money on. More people are wasting money on things that aren’t necessary. This article shows that the reason why next generations aren’t saving is because they see the previous generation spending more than they save. You would expect that the Chinese would see how much dept the Americans are going into they wouldn’t want to do it in their own country seeing how its been damaging ours.

  4. The article review is a very interesting to read it showed me how much we use everybody’s help in the world. I never thought we had that much trouble in doing but I’m so glad we did that for china.

  5. This cartoon shows that the United States has been running the world's "oil pump" for so long, but now a new country is getting strong enough to take the United States spot as the world's top oil consumer. This could be bad as the United States consumed a lot huge majority of the world’s oil, and if China is really consuming enough oil to make our consumption look as weak as the cartoon suggests, oil prices could very soon sky rocket far beyond any prices we have experienced thus far.

  6. The ariticle is very surprising but at the same time expected. As a great influence on china over the years, America has taken in China and reared them to grow into the very similar country we are today (just like how many of it's citizens only choose to have one child to spoil and care for, rather than speding time and effort to have more) The simple idea in the revoloving theme of this article is that as we take a step back and look around, we are so closely being followed by our own protege, and despite the fact that we are facing economic problems among our country, they might soon be too. As the dominating country in the world, China is already stepping on our heels, the questioin is How far will we guide them before they become a powerhouse of their own. And can we still control the so-called monster we've created to an extent where we are still on top?
