  1. The problem with this crime is that almost anyone can do it, no matter how unintelligent you are it's a pretty simple process. All you have to do is get a fake adress for a fake company and make up patient names and constantly bill medicare. It's so hard to filter out the phoneys from the real companies because people can go to great lengths to make everything seem so real while at the same time covering up all informatin that is needed to figure out the truth. Also, instances like this can happen in many different ways doctors can be the criminals as well. Just by billing medical companies for unnecessary medical procedures or medications and having the money straight to their accounts.

  2. Medical fraud is obviously a very easy task to accomplish. Many of the cases are commited by brainless criminals that simply rented a cheap strip mall store, bought patient names for a few odd dollars, and forged a doctor signature. However some doctors have also been convicted, which they have it even easier to commit this crime. This crime is so hard to find because there are few auditors to shuffle through the billions of medical claims that pass through Medicare.
