Why budget? Let's look at the 1950...

What does this video tell you that budgets do?  What does it tell you budgets do not do?  What is something you saw you don't agree with?  What good ideas have not changed in the last 60 years?

  1. Budgets help you plan to manage your money in such a way that you can later obtain a certain want or need through money. It's a plan designed to give the maximum satisfaction for any given income. Budgets don't tell you what you can and cannot buy, it only shows you the outcome of your actions. There was nothing I disagreed with in this video. Budgets must be simple and elastic in order to accomodate the changes within your lifestyle. It also must be realistic.

  2. Budgets are a tool that is used to help you manage your money so you do not end up in debt and have control of your money. Although budgets help you to keep your money in order it does not necessary limit what you can by nor does it tell you what you can or can not purchase. I found this video to have many good points in it that I found to all be very true in helping understand and create a budget of your own, no matter what your income may be.
